About Roger Williams

With 35 years of experience as a lawyer, Roger Williams focuses his practice on civil, criminal, and appellate work, representing a variety of clients that include individuals, families, and unions.

Roger currently litigates ERISA and unfair labor practice cases and serves as plaintiffs' counsel for an array of claims involving medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, premises liability, and severe personal injuries cases by motor vehicle accidents or other catastrophic incidents. He also serves as counsel for trade and public unions needing assistance with collective bargaining negotiations.

As a former prosecutor, he has managed magistrate court cases and conducted felony trials including armed robbery, illegal drugs, arson, rape, murder, and a variety of other crimes.

Earlier in his career, Roger served his country as a certified judge advocate for the U.S. Marine Corps before then taking on the position of Assistant Attorney General for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU).

Roger has been active in his community and taught numerous courses for West Virginia State College (now West Virginia State University) and Fairmont State College (now Fairmont State University) in their Criminal Justice departments.

Education & Admissions

He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law after earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairmont State College.

He is licensed in West Virginia and admitted to practice before:

  • West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals
  • U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia
  • U.S. Court of Military Appeals
